On the user roles page you can get an overview of the permissions each role has.

Each permission is shown under the 'Permissions' column seperated by a comma. If you are not able to see all permissions for a single role, you can click the highlighted arrow to the left to expand the permissions view as shown in the screenshot above.

It is possible to create and update roles with a specific list of permissions, but this can only be done by technicians. If you think you have access requirements that differ from the out-of-the-box functionality, you should contact your administrator and discuss the issue.
